Hi, I am owner and artist of Finnie Bird.
I love to work with my hands, my favorites are painting and quilting. I also do a lot of crochet and love to try new things.
Florals are my go to when painting, I use acrylics and will paint on anything possible! All of the colors of nature are so relaxing.
Constructing a quilt puts me in a zone. Choosing the fabrics, designing a layout, watching it all come to together piece by piece - mesmerizing!
We live in northern Michigan, in the woods with lots of wildlife and lakes nearby. It is very peaceful and beautiful.
Finn
Yes, there really is a Finnie! Finn is my long-haired German Shepherd and my best helper. Finn is extremely smart and has mastered many tricks.
The name Finnie Bird came to be from both Finn and my nickname since childhood of T-Bird. Finn also loves to place when we are out on hikes and often looks like a bird perched on a nest.
Here is a slideshow of Finn and her many adventures. She is often joined by her Best Furry Friend, Pigeon and her little sister Lizzy. Lizzy is also a long-haired GSD that joined our family in 2024. Finn is still deciding if she likes Lizzy. Lizzy is adorable and shows much promise in learning many tricks from Finn. Pigeon is a mixed mutt, we often refer to her as a potato or manatee, she only has one speed of slow.
